Wapping Wharf will be throwing a huge free evening of entertainment on the harbourside on Friday 6th September.
Almost a year to the day since we threw our hugely successful bridge reopening party, celebrating the long awaited opening of Gaol Ferry Bridges, they’ll once again be hosting an evening of free, family friendly entertainment for everyone in the city to enjoy.
From 5pm on Friday 20th September, visitors to our much-loved harbourside quarter will be able to enjoy live music, kids entertainment, food and drink and late night shopping. Local drumming troupe Batida Bristol will be kicking off the celebrations, with more music from local favourites The Ambling Band later on in the evening. There will be face painting and walkabout entertainment for little ones, and many of the independent retailers will be opening later, offering late night shopping and food and drink.
Speaking about the celebrations, Stuart Hatton, managing director at Umberslade said:
“Last year’s celebrations to mark the reopening of the bridge were such a huge success that we’ve been talking about hosting another one ever since. We had so much incredible feedback, along with people asking when the next event at Wapping Wharf would be, that we figured it was about time for another party!
“Wapping Wharf is home to such an incredible community of independent businesses, and with a lot of new additions to our group of retailers over the last year, we wanted to celebrate everything that makes our area of Bristol so special, and offer a bit of a thank you to all of our customers who have supported us over the years.”
Celebrations will start at 5pm on Friday 6th September, with entertainment throughout the evening. Businesses at Wapping Wharf will be open for food, drink and shopping throughout the day and into the evening. We'll see you there!
