Restaurateur Dan O’Regan founded BANK in June 2021. Now, after receiving wide local and national critical acclaim, has launched his second venture, Lapin, in partnership with Head Chef and co-owner Jack Briggs-Horan, at Bristol’s much-loved independent destination, Wapping Wharf.
Lapin, situated in Cargo Two, will focus on a more classical, French style of dining. Playing to Chef Jack’s background in traditional French restaurants and inspired by the bistros and brasseries of France, the menu will use the abundance of incredible seasonal produce we have in the South West, and also use produce from their own restaurant smallholding.
Speaking on their opening at Wapping Wharf, founder Dan said:
“We’re so excited to open a restaurant that’s inspired by the inimitable style of French cooking.
Warm hospitality, and a relaxed convivial spirit, backed up by playful twists on French classics
are going to be our foundation, and we really can’t wait to welcome both our new and existing
guest through our doors.
“Wapping Wharf has such a wealth of incredible restaurants in such a great community area, and with our neighborhood restaurant in Totterdown, it felt right for us to branch out into such a vibrant part of the Bristol food community. We’ve got lots of friends in the industry across the other restaurants in the area, and we’re so excited to join the community.”
Speaking about the newest addition to the Wapping Wharf community, Stuart Hatton, managing director at Umberslade said:
“Another fantastic restaurant coming to Wapping Wharf! We’re very excited to welcome Lapin, I’ll be first in the queue for a seat to indulge in some French inspired food.”
