Wapping Wharf will celebrate the start of the festive period on Thursday 28th November with an evening of food, music and entertainment
Bristol’s much-loved independent harbourside quarter, Wapping Wharf, will this year mark the start of the festivities with a night of local music, food and drink from independent retailers, late night shopping and plenty of entertainment on Thursday 28th November. Building on the success of last year’s event, and their series of summer music events, Wapping Wharf will be bringing Father Christmas and his elves to the area for one night only, with live music from Bristol’s very own The Ambling Band. There will also be plenty of festive food and drink offerings alongside late-night shopping at Wapping Wharf’s many local, independent shops, with many retailers staying open until 8pm.
Other festivities will include mulled wine, cider, plum tea and special festive cocktails from Junction, Seven Lucky Gods, The Bristol Cheesemonger and Tare Bar, festive bagels from Bagelry Box, a Christmas Turkey Schnitzel Burger from Salt & Malt, Beetroot Cured Trout Gravlax bowls from Loki Poke, a Pannacotta party, satsuma peeling contest and winter cocktails from Box-E and plenty more delicious seasonal food, drink and shopping options from the Wapping Wharf community members.
Speaking about the festive celebrations, Stuart Hatton, managing director at Umberslade, the developer behind Wapping Wharf, says:
“Wapping Wharf’s annual festive celebrations are always a real highlight in our calendar, and it provides a brilliant opportunity for the amazing independent community to come together to show off all of their festive fare, whilst bringing a great evening of family friendly entertainment to Wapping Wharf and the people of Bristol. We can’t wait to kick off the best time of the year and celebrate with everyone!” explains Stuart.
Wapping Wharf’s festive celebrations will take place on Thursday 28th November from 5:30pm, with music and entertainment until 8pm. Retailers will be open until 8pm for late night shopping, whilst bars and restaurants will be open later as per their regular opening hours.
