Gopal's Curry Shack
Friends Melanie Taylor and Heather Simmonds began cooking together in 2011 when they started the Horfield Supper Club from Heather's house.
They had so much fun they decided to start a new venture creating the delicious, fresh, spicy vegetarian food that they both love to eat. Starting out by jumping in at the deep end and taking Gopal's Curry Shack to a music festival in Derbyshire, they soon found they loved the buzz of a busy event and so it was that a street food business was born.
Taking the spices of India and the fabulous local, seasonal produce the West Country does so well Gopal's add their own special something to create vibrant and modern dishes. Amongst the menu triumphs are wild garlic pakoras, creamy coconut & seasonal vegetable curry, parsnip & ginger pakoras and the (almost) legendary onion bhaji scotch egg.
With this exciting new opening at Wapping Wharf you can expect to find Gopal's Curry Shack serving up some of their favourite dishes alongside some amazing local craft beers.
